THE IMPORTANCE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE CLASSROOM

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of emotional intelligence (EI) for personal and professional success. The article highlights the importance of developing EI skills in students, including self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills. The article suggests various strategies for integrating EI education into the classroom curriculum, including mindfulness practices, social-emotional learning programs, and conflict resolution training. The article also emphasizes the role of teachers in promoting EI among students and provides strategies for teachers to develop their own EI competencies.
