Abstract. This scientific article analyzes the structural solutions of buildings designed for hot and desert climate regions. In such areas, high air temperatures, intense solar radiation, significant diurnal temperature variations, and frequent dust storms have a strong impact on building performance and durability. The study examines key architectural and structural aspects including building form, orientation, wall and roof systems, thermal insulation, and natural ventilation strategies. In addition, the role of solar shading devices, green infrastructure, and water-based cooling systems in improving indoor microclimate conditions is discussed. The results indicate that buildings in desert climates should have compact forms, be constructed using materials with high thermal mass, and incorporate passive cooling systems. These structural approaches are essential for reducing energy consumption, ensuring environmental sustainability, and creating comfortable living conditions for occupants.
