DESCRIPTION OF THE SYNTACTIC STRUCTURE IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Abstract
This article examines the syntactic structure of the English language and its major grammatical features within modern linguistic studies. Syntax plays a fundamental role in organizing words into meaningful phrases and sentences that ensure effective communication. The research analyzes the structural organization of English syntax, including word order, phrase structure, clause formation, and grammatical relations. Special attention is given to the role of subject-predicate relations, sentence patterns, and syntactic hierarchy in constructing coherent discourse. The article also discusses the interaction between syntax and semantics in expressing meaning. English syntax is characterized by relatively fixed word order and the use of auxiliary elements to indicate grammatical relations. The study highlights the importance of syntactic structures in language learning, translation, and communication, contributing to modern theoretical and applied linguistics.
