Abstract

Abstract

Speaking development remains challenging in many English’s as a foreign language classroom because learners receive limited meaningful practice and often fear making mistakes. This literature-based thesis examines the pedagogical value of digital storytelling for oral language development. Recent studies indicate that combining narrative, voice recording, and multimodal resources can support fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, confidence, and motivation. It argues that digital storytelling is most effective when technology serves clear speaking objectives, structured rehearsal, constructive feedback, and accessible classroom practice.
