Abstract

This article examines the integration of technology in teaching listening skills within language learning. It highlights the benefits of using technological tools such as podcasts, language learning apps, speech recognition software, and virtual reality (VR) to enhance listening comprehension. Technology provides learners with access to authentic materials, diverse audio-visual content, and personalized learning experiences, which help them improve their listening abilities in real-world contexts. The article discusses various approaches for using technology in listening instruction, including pre-listening activities, interactive tasks, and post-listening feedback. While acknowledging challenges such as access to technology and potential technical issues, the article emphasizes the positive impact of technology in creating engaging, flexible, and effective listening practice. Ultimately, it underscores the role of technology in modernizing language teaching and fostering better listening comprehension in diverse learning environments.
